Alaska Section Message
The ITE Alaska Section is wrapping up another productive year and with that comes the Annual ITE/ASCE/APWA Joint Meeting. We are happy to host Mayor Dan Sullivan at the June 15th Joint Meeting at the Coast International Inn. Please RSVP to Karthik Murugesan at kmurugesan@uskh.com. We look forward to seeing you there!

Erica Jensen, E.I.T.
Erica graduated summa cum laude from UAA with a bachelor's in Civil Engineering in 2006 and a master's in Engineering Management in 2009. She tested for her PE in April. She is a member of ITE, ASCE, and the Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi. She was awarded the ASCE New Faces of Engineering for 2010.
Erica was born and raised in Kansas City but moved to Alaska in 2003 and has no intentions of leaving. She has been working for CRW Engineering Group since the summer of 2005. In her free time she enjoys to run, mountain bike, ice climb, rock climb, back country ski, and skate ski with her husband and two husky-Sheppard mutts Chaos and Serenity and her soon-to-be first child, due in July.
Robert Devassie, P.E.
Robert DeVassie has been working in the engineering field for over sixteen years. While attending the University of Alaska Anchorage (UAA) in the Civil Engineering program, he interned with Tryck Nyman Hayes, Shannon and Wilson, Alaska State Parks (DNR), and the Army Corps of Engineers before being hired with Alaska State Parks (DNR) in the Design and Construction Section. In 2003 he transferred to the Aviation Design Section of the DOT&PF. Robert then moved to the Highway Design Section where he currently works. Robert has his PE license and is a member of the Order of the Engineer.
While at UAA, Robert served as Vice President and President of the UAA Student ITE Chapter. He is a current and active member of the Alaska ITE Chapter. Robert enjoys coaching soccer and spending time with his family. He looks forward to serving ITE and the Alaska members to the best of his abilities.
